Life’s a Beach: Where the Heart Lies
October 25, 2012

One of the best things about living in Hawaii are the abundance of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world just a short drive away.

What breaks the heart? When you can’t get to one for weeks at a time because life gets in the way.

{ Life’s a Beach } Where I Wish I Were RIGHT NOW: Frolicking on Sherwood Forest Beach

Foot prints in the sand lead to who knows where? Sherwood Forest Beach (Waimanalo Bay Beach Park), Oahu, Hawaii

It’s been about three weeks since I’ve been back to the beach. You have no idea how much this breaks my heart. Definitely one of the biggest reasons to live in Hawaii is to take advantage of the geological wonders and the convenience of having an amazing beach within 10-30 minutes drive in any direction. If you can’t make it out, your soul withers slightly.

I need that salt spray misting my face lightly and wind whisking my hair this way and that. There is something so healing about golden white sands sifting through my toes. Soul soothing. Heart lifting.

I need to go back, like Jack in LOST.

KEEP CALM and GO BEACH. My favorite motto of the weekend. My SonDog and Husby playing at Sherwood’s.

If you’re blessed enough to liveby BigWater, be it an ocean, a lake, a pond… if your heart aches, KEEP CALM and GO BEACH. Your heart will thank you.
