I don’t always agree with Fashionista.com’s articles, but their list of the 30 Best Dressed is almost 100% on with Mae’s opinion. And you know what, that’s awesome, because my opinion is totally spot on, because I rule.
But in all seriousness, no one can deny the utter fashion power these women possess.
Here are my choices in no particular order:
- Alexa Chung
C’mon, Burberry named a frickin’ bag after her. She never utilizes the services of a professional stylist. ‘Nuff said.
- Brad Goreski
Bringing a hybrid of Geek Chic, Punk, and high street to the table, Rachel Zoe’s former employee shows he was a style genius on his own. I love his suit choices. And those glasses. Yes.
- Diane Kruger
Another who has no stylist among her employ. Her style sense always relies on simplicity and allows the clothes to speak for themselves without clamoring for attention.
- Emma. Watson.
You guys already know how much I think this girl has got it freakin’ going on. From Burberry to Chanel to THOSE SHOES, Emma always has the most amazing style choices in her arsenal. But the most stunning thing is the fact the she remains solidly true to herself despite the fame, fortune and amazing wardrobe.
- Hanneli Mustaparta
Labeled as “the Next Sartorialist”, Hanneli is both a street style photographer and a street style blog darling, AND also one of my favorite stops in my reader. She knows how to mix vintage with current runway trends. And her photography is rather striking.
- Julia Restoin-Roitfield
Serious fashion chops. Mixes edgy and polished and all out runway. All I can say is: “Yes.”
- Olivia F*cking Palermo
She may have been typecast/portrayed/proven as The Bitchiest Bitch There Ever Was on The City, but the show also displayed to the world the major skills this woman has with fashion. Mixing vintage with designer, high street with runway, casual cool with eclectic, she is quite honestly the most amazing dresser I have ever seen. These pictures do very little justice to showcase her style prowess.
- Rachel Bilson
Terrible actor, slightly breathy, whiny voice… regardless. This lovely creature is my height, my size, and knows the value of a high hemline and a high waist without ever veering into slutty territory, and wields that knowledge with the cutting coolness that only a Southern Californian can.
- Sienna Miller
Queen of the Boho Chic movement in the early 2000s, despite the death of the whole fringey boot thing (thank God!), I still absolutely bloody love almost everything she dons.
- Frida Gustavsson
ING model and another street style darling for her off duty sartorial choices, she looks striking in both leggings and full length gowns.
- Jason Schwartzman
- Michelle Obama
- Leighton Meester
