Officially announced to regular shoppers via e-mail newsletter, the popular national retailer which specializes in kitschy, trendy, bohemian clothing, now offers beauty products amongst its product catalog.
The product range features several prestige brands marketed at Sephora such as Stila, Too Faced, Anna Sui and Japonesque, and includes makeup, nail, hair and skin care, beauty tools, and fragrance. The site also has a section on natural and organic products for the eco-conscious beauty maven.
To garner a following, the store is offering a limited free shipping on *any order* that contains beauty products. The discount is effective through June 8th, and excludes sale merchandise and international orders.
Urban Outfitters originated in Philadelphia as “The Free People’s Store” in 1970, and catered to the eclectic, bohemian shopper by focusing on funky fashion and home accessories. The name was later changed to Urban Outfitters and the product offerings expanded to include “vintage, bohemian, retro, hipster, ironically humorous, kitschy” apparel, furniture and household goods and books. The retailer also occasionally collaborates with luxury brands an designers for specially designed, exclusive lines.
The Urban Outfitter’s company operates Anthroplogie, Free People and Urban Outfitters, in addition to owning the brands Terrain and Liefsdottir, which is retailed through Anthropologie.
