Being stylish doesn’t have to be difficult or labor intensive. That’s what’s so perfect about maxi dresses. One piece equals less complication. Just slip it on, mix it up with sexy shoes (that are surprisingly comfy and easy to walk in), a statement bag and, bang!, there you go! A super nice outfit that took less time to put on than to read this paragraph.

My new company, ETSIS (pronounced “Et-SEES”), recently gave me the opportunity to go super glam for the first time since we moved here when we hosted a small cocktail party after work one evening. While on the daily, I’m still feminine, I sort of veer more towards the edgy most of the time. So, when I get the chance to glam up, I get really, really ecstatic.

I think gold looks better with royal blue or purple, but that’s because of my skin tone.

I went with a collar necklace, since the belt was so busy lipstick: Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie.

When in doubt of your own awesomeness, just put on a bright, fabulous dress, way too many accessories and too much makeup with bright lips, and you’ll feel so pretty you’ll forget how low you feel. (In my case, it just went from amazing to stellar.)

This is where I’ve been, and I’ve been busy cleaning it, organizing and trying to make it livable. It’s beyond beautiful, and more than what we could ask for, but it is in the country. So there is an incredible amount of work involved to make it a Mae house. :) (We live downstairs. Our Front Door is on the bottom right.)
