Aloha ahiahi, lovecat!
May was a slightly glamourous month. It was all about wearing beautiful women’s sun hats, travel, wearing gorgeous skirts and dresses, turning 30 and learning what that entails in terms of change.

May was kind of a whirlwind of a month. Both good and bad. I guess when it comes down to it, I used to love traveling, but my heart very deeply resides in the Land we made our home last year: The Land of Eternal Summer. While traveling, both Husby and I broke down with tears in our eyes and sad thoughts of longing for Hawaii and Home–completely independent of each other. It’s a bit sappy, but it’s true. When you love home so much that your heart breaks when you leave it, you know that that place has left a deep and indelible mark upon your soul.
Having lived in so many places over the years, I’ve had several places I could call “home”: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada; San Diego, California; Napa Valley, Northern California; Detroit, Michigan; and now Honolulu, Hawaii. But none of these places have threaded magic fibers into the material of my heart and soul so deeply as Honolulu, and it’s hard to imagine another places that could do just that. This is heaven, and we live here. We are so lucky.
What makes your heart soar this month? Comment at me on Facebook or Twitter. I’ve turned comments off from here for the time-being.
Me ke aloha ~ With love, Xx
Mae
