Man, Have I Changed: Episode III. The Eyz–AZN all the way.

This might be a bit closer to how you know me now. More understated, more mature, black-brown eyed (except I have ombré caramel/dark blond hair now)…

But before, when I was sporting Super AZN mode, I decided that wearing green contacts would make me look better… prettier, lighter skinned (it kind of worked), more edgy and different.

The look was pretty, and interesting, but in the end, I wasn’t much different than thousands upon thousands of other Asians (Or AZNs, depending on the style) who were sporting the same colored contact look. The only difference between me and then was that I had Joan Jett hair and their manes were tame. My then-boyfriend-now-husband hated the contacts on me. He said I was feline or dragon-y, and that I looked like a completely different person than the one he knew and loved to kiss. I always had to take them out whenever we spent time together. Eventually, I stopped wearing them altogether (I still have a box, though, I wonder if I should break them out?).

It’s weird, the things we do, and the ways we change as we mature, grow, age…style, wisdom, habits, preferences, beliefs, enjoyments (ahem, video games)…

In the same way, even as we change, many things may still remain the same…

{What about you has changed, and what about you has stayed the same… and what about both of those things do you celebrate?}
