I love the 4th of July, not because it gives me and mine a day off from work to play, but because as it approaches, it always reminds me that my Son[dog] / Bear[dog] Max’s birthday is also rolling around.
Today is Independence Day, but since my leg is injured, my arm is insanely sore from a Tetanus shot, and my spine and hips are slightly flared out with lupus, I can’t really go to the beach or hike, so I’m indoors, combing my brain with what to do that won’t further injure me or expose the wound on my leg to further infection (it’s mildly infected as the wound heals). [Sorry for the grodiness there.]
So let’s just enjoy ourselves with some amazingly adorable pictures of a little Teddy Bear who celebrated five years of life yesterday.
Five years of life. I am ever grateful to my husband to getting this little sh# behind my back. I’m so happy he has celebrated another year, and also mildly sad he is growing so fast. Please join us in wishing this little man a happy birthday.
And many happy wishes to you on this Independence Holiday. May we never forget what our ancestors (American and non-American, historic and modern-day) sacrificed to come here to make a dream life come true for us.
Rock on, Lover!
