  1. I had eyes for my first love since elementary school. He was the most adorable kid, well-liked, smart, and athletic. I thought he was perfect. Our families became close over the years, bonding through junior golf and being that our younger brothers were the same age and loved to hang out together. I never really got to know him until he moved away to Arizona after our last year of middle school. We started chatting on AIM (AOL Instant Messenger), and really got to know each other through talking about anything and everything. Then our senior year of high school approached and Senior Prom was upon us. We were falling in love and wanted to be together…so he asked me to prom and I flew from Hawaii to Arizona to be with him. I just remember how love crazy I was…sitting and sleeping at the airport for hours waiting during my layover, staying over at his house (of course sleeping in the guest bedroom), and missing my own Senior Prom to go to his. Of course everything was worth it! After prom ended, we went back to his house before going to an afterparty, and we had our first of many kisses! Happy Valentines Day!

  3. It was May 25, 2008. We were celebrating my grandmothers 84th birthday that day. Lots of family and friends were over. Great food, greats drinks, and amazing company. After a few drinks (I normally get a little “tipsy” after just TWO, yes, I’m a lightweight), Eli told me that he wanted to go to my bedroom (yes, we didn’t live together until we got engaged. Does that make me “old-fashioned”. Lol). I had no clue what he wanted, but I thought his intentions were of the intimate/kinky nature. LOL. I told him that we can’t DO THAT right now, we have company over, but he insisted that it wasn’t what he was implying. Hahaha. We walk into my bedroom and he closes the door. I’m still thinking he wants to get kinky. LOL. Then all of a sudden, he takes both of my hands and I see his eyes are tearing up. I’m all of a sudden SOBER, because I had an inkling about what was going to happen. He gets down on one knee, and the tears and cires and squeals come pouring out of me! The moment was perfect…. UNTIL… my Sister opens the door and sees just me crying! I shove her out the door and tell her to give us moment. She’s out there in the hallway thinking we’re fighting. Haha. He continues with his proposal and tells me all the amazing things about our life together and how we’ve been together for 8 years now and that 8 symbolizes a new beginning and infinity, and that he couldn’t think of ever spending his life without me. I was his past, his present, and his future. He showed me the most gorgeous ring I’ve ever seen (and he knows that I’m not a “diamond girl” and didn’t want anything fancy or showy), asked if I would be his for all time and eternity and with tears of joy and happiness still gushing out, I said, YES!  One of the best days of my life.

    xx Love & Aloha

  4. ACTUALLY I did just think of a hilarioussss story about my first “boyfriend” I don’t even know if I can call him that. Don’t judge because I was probably around 15 – 16 at this point and I had never had a boyfriend. But I started dating this kid after we met once and the next day we ran into each other at school and he didn’t recognize me because he probably had a different gf ever week; I just think that’s the funniest shit ever. Oh young love.

    • Haha, That is pretty funny, though! ^_^ Teens are so like that, I’m not judging. From, like, age 10 – age 17, they go through different partners like flavors of the week. I was a nerd in elementary school and junior high so I never experienced this… but I saw it all the time. (NERD ALERT.)

  5. I definitely don’t think I did anything really out of there to impress someone; I just never cared enough when I was younger :P But I’ve definitely written love notes and cards and junk like that; I don’t know if that counts as crazy there ya go! Haha

  7. I have a similar Valentine’s situation as you – me and my BF started dating shortly after Vday. I think we’re either going to do our anniversary instead, OR observe our anniversary in a few months. between Christmas in December, my birthday in January, and Vday in Feb there’s a lot we’ve been celebrating!

As to crazy things I’ve done for love… does undergoing lots of bad dates count? Before I found the guy I’m dating now, I had a date where the guy showed up drunk, met one guy who ended up becoming a celibate yogi, and met another guy who turned out to be married!
