{ Architecture of an Outfit } Shoulder Cut Outs and Leggings

The infamous shoulder cut-out sweater made the rounds on our trip. While traveling, especially if you travel by car, as we did, it’s paramount to maintain comfort and breathability. Cotton slip-on sweaters, button-downs and things like leggings and maxi skirts or dresses are essential to life in a car. Otherwise, you can get pretty funky (if you know what I mean!) after sitting for hours and hours in a moving vehicle.
This shoulder cut-outs sweater from YesStyle.com was pretty much my go to each day for most of our trip. It’s chic and airy, easy to don, and edgy with a bit of sexy sass. Just enough to set me apart from the other travelers in lame jeans, ugly shearling boots (Uggs), and college sweatshirts. (Or Cowboys…)

Slip on boots with a bunch of buckles are pretty edgy, but comfy and quick to put on to get out the door and just go!
We shot these photos at a Rest Area somewhere outside Colorado City in south Colorado near the New Mexico border. The high desert is really something else. Amazing sun shots.

I have lots to be thankful for, but I’m enjoying the holidays way too much to blog!!
