Goodbye, Michigan: Peach Sorbet Sky Sunsets, Trees that Drip Gold and Blood

As the count down is on to leave Michigan, I say goodbye by trying to remember and cherish all the amazing things about this state.

I love the sunsets that blaze fuzzy peach, sweet lavender, and saffron, and the autumns which blaze through the state in all their glory, bringing with them trees that drip gold and molten lava and dark, scarlet blood and wine. I leave behind the amazing transitional seasons for the Land of Eternal Summer. I’ll get the amazing sunrises and sunsets, but no changing leaves and electric, chilly scarf weather. These are the things I’ll miss the most.

Where do you live, and what do YOU love most about it? Let’s share!

  1. Love the photos! Autumn may just be my most favourite season.

I kind of know how you’re feeling as I’ll be moving back home in January. Yes, home Home. I’ll definitely miss the 4 seasons. I’ll miss the sakura flowers, I’ll miss being amused at how the locals go sun tanning in the parks, I’ll miss stepping on crunch leaves and most of all, I’ll miss the snow.

I’m glad you’re looking forward to the move. Exciting times await!

Let's get talkin'.
