That’s the new term I’m calling it. I plan on making this new, weird phase in my life as fun, interesting and productive as possible.

You get laid off, but that doesn’t mean you have to lay down and give up.

This morning, though, I wanted to just keep it simple. Having some sort of a weird neck knot from a slight lupus attack, I decided sleeping in wasn’t too ridiculous.

“Stay with me, I’m warm. Stay with me, let’s cuddle,” my bed called to me this morning. He was warm. He was comforting. My pillow reached out and hugged my painful neck, cradling it softly.

I stayed in until 11. On a “school day”.

I haven’t been unemployed in over 7 years. Not since that debilitating accident that injured my spine in 2004. This is a really, really weird feeling. So I’m going to wake up, put on nice clothes, makeup, and keep my days simple. I’m going to learn how to make the best of this situation.
