One of my favorite illustrators, Kris Atomic (Kristina Mordokhovitch), recently created an image that I felt speaks to me in particular, literally, and humorously.
Simply titled “Chronic Bitchface”, this charming illustration of a be-spectacled cute girl on a background of Tiffany Robin Egg Blue portrays a girl who feels like springtime inside her heart, but her face has the dour expression of a girl who lost the Shoe of her Dreams to a woman wearing a Juicy Couture tracksuit, because the last pair wasn’t in her size. This expression garners constant requests from strangers to “cheer up love” and “brighten up.” The thing is…
{That’s just how her face looks.}
Yeah, I know how that goes. It’s just how my face looks. That’s just how my voice sounds. That’s just the facial expression I make. Those are just the phrases I use.
{Chronic Bitch______ is my legacy.}
Naturally, I bought a print.
Kristina has the prints up for Pre-Order, along with many of her other darling, stylish illustrations in her e-store.
Please support this Britain-based artist. She is incredibly talented, and I keep coming back to her corner of the internet to drool over her fashion-y, saturated drawings. You can visit her blog, Kris Atomic, here. Or you can peruse her professional portfolio here.
