BHLDN, Anthropologie’s new wedding line, creates moments as layered, dynamic and moving as the bride
Announced just a week ago to Anthropologie’s mailing list, the company has created BHLDN, a sister company and collection dedicated to be a resource for creating an extraordinary wedding experience for a bride and her party.
Selling an impressive array of gowns, bridesmaid frocks and party dresses, BHLDN’s site is an impressive online full-service boutique, which helps outfit a bridal party from underpinnings, to shoes, to the most intricate head piece. The retailer sells accessories, shoes, and the most charming gowns, inspired by vintage prints, photos and letters, all lovingly created and tailored to give each bride a one of a kind moment. Wedding gowns range from a $600 tea frock to a $4000 paint brushed halter gown, or $3600 pleated work of art. There is a large selection of necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets, all inspired by nature’s shapes and textures, and from vintage costume pieces, ranging from $60 – $1000 and every budget in between.
Simply stated, a wedding “goes beyond the dress”, and BHLDN’s mission is to create moments that are “as layered and dimensional as the woman standing within it”.
I could write an entire rambling article here extolling the virtues of this new venture for Anthropologie, but as the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” The dresses speak for themselves.

Ethereal Monarch Gown

Burnished Organza Gown
If BHLDN had existed two years ago when I was planning my nuptials, I would have festooned myself head to toe in pieces from the collection (my faves: the Ribboned Silk, the Cascading Goddess, and the Pleated Fantasy Gowns). Luckily, I found the most modern organza gown at a very humble price stuffed into the racks at a prom store from hell, and I was able to pay off my dress in a matter of months. But a girl can dream, can’t she?

Thank you pertaining to spreading this kind of wonderful content on your website. I came across it on google. I may check to come back whenever you publish much more aricles.
I have come back to this post like five times already lol. This new Anthro venture is going to be the death of my wallet! I love all of your picks (when I was perusing by myself I was just dazzled but your picks actually want my money!). That filigree cupcake dress is just calling out to me…even in my sleep I am sure!
Gosh. I agree. If this line was around when we planned our wedding.. I would have LOVED to have worn something like the pleated fantasy gown. So breathtaking. Makes me want to get married all over again. sigh.
Oh, I loved your intereview!! You are so awesome Mae. And you are so right, money really has no bearing on how “stylish” a person is. You just need to get creative. What a great risk you took to pack up your life and move across the country for love… Love definitely is one of the biggest risks of all, but so worth it. I’d hate to live a life of “what could have been…”
xx Love & Aloha
I love these dresses! Awesome post for those brides to be!
Oh my goodness I want all of them. I don’t care if I’m not getting married.
the wedding dresses are very contemporary and beautiful! i saw that you were/are sick – get well soon!!
My little sister is currently planning her wedding so this is very helpful information. Great timing!
how much do i love these dresses??? UH let me count the ways?! Not that you’d want to get married more than once, but these are so pretty, you ALMOST want to get married more than once… SIGH!
The Pleated Fantasy Gown is officially in my fantasy. SO GORGEOUS! I love the fact that it’s not the traditional white gown (light grey/silver is the new white!), but it’s just as classy and feminine. LOVE!
On a different note, get well Mae!!!
