It is well-known the Swedish public is on the whole much more stylish than other nations; the blogosphere is rife with street style blogs displaying the impeccable style and beauty of this almost Aryan people. So then, it should be absolutely unsurprising when one of their polished ranks teams up with H&M to design a collection.
Elin Kling, of Style by Kling, a fashion blogger and style consultant, announced on her blog that, after a year of collaboration and communication with H&M, she is to finally release a collection with the popular retailer:
For almost a year ago I got my first email from H&M, and from that day a dream came true. Today, a year after, I can finally tell you about my collection for H&M!
The 11 piece collection consists of 9 pieces of clothing and 2 accessories. Lucire, a global digital fashion magazine, describes the collection as minimalist, with a hint of Bohemian influence. The pieces feature very minimal, tailored lines with a few jagged, raw edges. Modernist floral print infuse a Bohemian tone to some of the pieces. Kling says these different elements of minimalist, raw and Bohemian are a direct reflection of her own style sensibility.
The collection launches on February 3rd in a limited release of 10 stores in Sweden only. However, this marks the first-ever blogger design collaboration with H&M, which has seen a long line of partnerships with the biggest and brightest names in fashion over the last few years. To be among this honorable “lineage” of H&M collaborators is a high, high distinction for a fashion blogger, and may only be the first of what may prove to be an industry game changer.
