The City’s uber villain is re-writing the book on villainism and inspiring whole new orbital eye rolls (from Erin Kaplan, Elle’s youngest ever Director of PR). However dastardly or negatively portrayed on TV, one thing that isn’t evil about Palermo is her stunning wardrobe. Showing up in each episode with several impeccably chosen outfits with a charming edge, Palermo is the epitomé of physical grace and fierce feminism. She touts knowledge and “close personal friendships” with important designers, and who knows if what comes out of her mouth is truth or not, but wearing the clothes she does, who the hell cares?
My personal fave: Palermo in high top Converse. After seeing her in tights and dresses and towering heels, it’s refreshing and almost really cool to see her in my favourite sneaks.
The “small-faced” beauty landed the August cover of Asos Magazine, the editorial companion to the popular online clothing retailer Asos.com. In the interview, she explains that she is depicted as a completely different person than who she is in real life, and that she is “funny,” “enthusiastic”, and “not a negative person” that “always [tries] to look for the good in things.” I’m sure Erin would have other things to say.
